Save, Vote & Budget
The more you can save, the better. You will need a deposit of at least 5% of the purchase price of your new property.
Or at least make sure that you are registered to do so. Being on the Voter’s Roll will vastly help with your credit rating.
Check your credit report to make sure that all of the information held about you is correct and to identify any potential issues. You should also take this opportunity to identify and to close down any unused credit cards.
Ensure that all of your credit information is up to date. Check that your bank accounts, loans and credit cards are registered to
your current address and don’t forget that your driving licence should also be registered at your current address.
Work out your income and expenditure and decide how much you can realistically afford to spend on your mortgage and bills.
